มหาวิทยาลัแม่โจ้ ได้ร่วมจัดทำความร่วมมือกับ มหาวิทยาลัย Universiti Putra Malaysia ซึ่งเป็นมหาวิทยาลัย World Class อันดับ 202 (QS University Ranking 2018/2019) ในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรปริญญาร่วมกัน ภายใต้โครงการ Dual-Degree Doctoral Program ทำให้นักศึกษาที่เข้าโครงการนี้ มีสิทธิพิเศษ คือ สามารถศึกษาได้ทั้ง 2 สถาบันในโปรแกรมเดียว สามารถได้รับปริญญา 2 ใบ จาก MJU และ UPM ปริญญาใบที่ 2 อยู่ในสาขาที่สัมพันธ์กัน ได้พัฒนาภาษาอังกฤษอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ได้แลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและภาษากับนักศึกษาจากมาเลย์เซีย เรามุ่งเน้นการสร้างนักวิจัยระดับสูง ที่มีวิสัยทัศน์ระดับนานาชาติ สามารถวิเคราะห์ปัญหา และประยุกต์องค์ความรู้ เพื่อสังเคราะห์ทฤษฎีใหม่หรือแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาเชิงลึก ที่สามารถแก้ปัญหาของการออกแบบเครื่องจักรกลหรือกระบวนการเพื่อแปรรูปอาหาร

We focus on creating a high-level researcher envisioned to gain international experience. Our graduate students will be trained for 21st century skills to achieve the complex problem solving and critical thinking. An novel knowledge in recent engineering techniques will be researched to synthesize new theories or in-depth solutions to solve the problem related to mechanical design or process for food processing which is an integrated areas between engineering and science.

This special Dual-Food Engineering Degree program provides student to pursue 2 certificates in one course with low cost. The collaboration between Maejo University (MJU) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM: the 202nd world ranking) provides student to gain international experience through 1 year aboard program to conduct research in food innovation.
